Bitcoin Liquidations Top $600 Million
Ethereum Developers Propose EIP-7732, Coinbase Demands SEC Chair's Emails
In the middle of the ongoing crypto market correction, Bitcoin has fallen to $55,000 on Thursday, and saw its liquidations at $600 million in long positions.
This marks the largest one-day wipeout since mid-April.
Nearly 222,000 traders have been affected. Over $511 million of long positions and around $80 million in short.
Adding to the selling pressure is Mt. Gox having confirmed having begun repaying its creditors in BTC and BCH, and transferring $2.7 billion from its bankruptcy estate to a different wallet.
Ethereum has also dropped by over 4% to $3,000 and lower - first time since the middle of May.
The Federal Reserve's difficulties surrounding inflation control this year is also said to be adding to the drop.
