Coinbase completes first AI-to-AI crypto transaction
Vitalik Clarifies His Ethereum Sales - It's For Charity, $313M Lost In August To (Mostly) Phishing Crypto Scams
Coinbase has facilitated the the first crypto transactions fully managed by AI agents, with CEO Brian Armstrong calling it the first AI to AI crypto transaction.
Using LLMs with USDC on Base, one AI agent bought AI tokens from another agent. The CEO noted that the transactions are instant, global, free. AI agents can transact without bank accounts.
Armstrong also said there's potential in AI-enabled checkouts where all parties, human and not, can do commerce together.
Coinbase has also launched a dev grant program focused on AI in wallets - $15k, with $3k rewards to 5 projects.
