Ethereum ETF Could Launch July 2nd
Telecom Giants Invest Heavily To Start Bitcoin Mining, Ethereum Has A Possibly Dangerous Vulnerability
Bloomberg's senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas revised his previous estimate, moving the possible Ethereum ETF launch date from July 4th to July 2nd.
He said the SEC has made "pretty light" comments on the S-1 spot Ethereum ETF filings, which could indicate that the greenlighting for trading could come earlier than expected.
ETF Store President Nate Geraci said he thought the new forecast makes sense, given the SEC's comments.
Days ago, SEC chair Gary Gensler indicated that Ethereum ETFs could launch just over the course of summer but didn't provide any specifics.
Fireblocks MD of financial markets Stephen Richardson said that spot Ether ETFs wouldn't see the same inflow on the first day as Bitcoin ETFs because it's "difficult to value" due to the missing widespread consensus on concrete Ethereum’s use cases. Arguable.
