Ethereum L2 Ecosystem Breaks Records
Bhutan Holds 13,000 Bitcoins, Ripple Joins Aptos And Hedera In Forming MiCA Alliance
Ethereum L2s hit $10 billion in TVL, which is twice as much as Solana's, and userbase grew by 35x to over 10 million active addresses. Validators have hit a record as well.
On L2 chains not limited to Ethereum, wrapped/bridged stablecoins have also jumped to $10 billion in value.
Base led with the highest stablecoin inflow as its USDC supply surpassed OP Mainnet's. The network is now also the second biggest host of USDC tokens after Ethereum.
In related news, the full definition of Ethereum L2 is in question following Vitalik's recent comments. He said that if a network hasn't reached Stage 1 decentralization status by EOY, he won't consider them L2s anymore.
