HBO's Bitcoin Documentary
Crypto.com Sues SEC Over Regulatory Overreach, Chipper Cash Partners With Stellar & MoneyGram
An HBO documentary called Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery, released on October 8, tried to uncover the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.
Prior to the release, people speculated on and social media and Polymarket about which of the notable people HBO would claim is Satoshi.
A lot of people thought it would be Len Sassaman and even tokens named after Len were launched. Peter Todd inspired tokens also launched.
The documentary claimed that Bitcoin Core developer Peter Todd is Satoshi, but Todd himself denied that and called the claims ‘ludicrous’.
According to CoinTelegraph, HBO got several points wrong, including Todd's BitcoinTalk forum post interpretation, Todd's own sarcastic comments, and Todd's contributions.
