Most Financial Advisors Hold Crypto - Bitwise CIO
FTX's Caroline Ellison Sentenced To Two Years, Farcaster Introduces Mini Apps
Bitwise Investments' CIO Matt Hougan noted in a recent memo that most of the top financial advisors in the US are holding crypto.
Hougan asked the audience of Barron's Advisor 100 Summit, by a show of hands, if the top advisors own bitcoin or other cryptos, and estimated that at least 70% raised their hands.
In the memo he highlighted that last year and the year before that, only 10-20% raised their hands.
However, very few advisors raised their hands when asked if they had crypto allocations in their client accounts. Hougan still believes that the tables will turn here as well.
For him, Hougan said, this many hands being up was "one of the most powerful signs of the times", bigger than the Fed's rate cut or the SEC's Bitcoin ETF options approval.
