Solana & Google Cloud Launch Gaming Platform
Pantera Backs Ton Blockchain, Stacks Bitcoin DeFi Accounts Hit Record, PayPal Integrates MoonPay For Crypto Expansion
Solana Labs has launched a gaming API 'GameShift' on the Google Cloud through a strategic partnership with the Google's subsidiary.
GameShift and its integration brings onboarding from web2 to web3 games, NFT marketplace creation, mining, and more — simply, to improve gameplay engagement and user experience.
Gamers will be able to enjoy user-generated and AI elements inside their games, own and transfer them, and trade with new payment methods
Developers will be able to deploy games a lot faster, which is expected to boost the overall blockchain adoption in games, potentially mainstream ones.
Mainstream adoption of blockchain tech in gaming was said by head of GameShift at Solana, Davis Heart, to be the main driver of this partnership.
Director of games at Google Cloud, Jack Buser, also stated that the partership is of great importance because of its web3 onboarding from web2.
GameShift will be available to game creators via a subscription.
