Millennials To Drive $84T Wealth Transfer To Crypto, Arkham To Launch Derivatives Exchange
Stripe is fully reintroducing cryptocurrency operations on its platform, primarily with USDC support for businesses, after a hiatus of nearly 10 years.
A Stripe representative shared that stablecoins can be accepted from over 150 countries, USDC can be paid via Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon.
Thousands of US businesses will be able to access Stripe's "Pay with Crypto" system that works with Stripe Checkout, Elements, and Payment Intents API.
Currently, there's a 1.5% transaction fee, $10k per-transaction limit, and $100k per-month limit.
In addition, Stripe has integrated with Avalanche for retail access to the blockchain ecosystem, and Ava Labs' wallet Core is set to use Stripe's on-ramp services.
Stripe began supporting Bitcoin in 2014 but stopped after concerns over volatility, speed, fees, and other bottlenecks.
