Worldcoin account sellers under investigation
Uniswap Leads In DEX Market Cap While Curve DAO Leads In Trading Volume
The Singapore police are investigating seven people who have allegedly traded Worldcoin accounts.
This follows the introduction of the Payment Services Act of 2019 that regulates payment services to prevent criminal misuse.
While Worldcoin doesn't fall into the payment service criteria, Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister noted that people who trade accounts must adhere to the regulations.
A warning has been issued to the public about the trading of Worldcoin accounts.
Also notable is Mexico opening an investigation into Worldcoin's handling of data and potential privacy violations.
More than 6.5 million World IDs have been verified in more than 160 countries so far.
